Process

We evaluate the jaw joint, the gums, and the relationship of the upper and lower jaws to one another. Every patient presents a unique challenge. For example, one patient may have very little jawbone, their tissues are very soft and tender. Given our findings, we can determine the type of denture our patient needs.

Dentures and Implants

We prefer what we call, “Over Dentures.” Some people refer to it as a “Snap On.” The implants are placed in the jawbone. The denture actually snaps into the implant. With a small amount of pressure in the right direction, you can take the denture out. Easy to clean. Sanitary. You can snap it back into position with no difficulty.

Teeth and Appearance

Teeth support the lower half of the face, primarily from the nose down. If your teeth are positioned to support your lip properly, you can look really good. When you see people with very sunken faces, they are often people who have dentures that were not fitted and positioned properly. Their facial characteristics are those of a much older person.

The Swiss Technique

Dr. John P. Frush developed the Swissedent Technique, or the Swiss Technique that drives the approach we use in our practice to this day. The Swiss Technique produces dentures that look like real teeth. When you make dentures that look like real teeth and also fit properly, you see beautiful happy patients. That’s what we do.

Personality Change

A beautiful set of dentures gives a person the confidence to step out into the world and say, "I don't have to cover my mouth anymore. I can smile and I can speak freely." Very often you see a personality change when someone is happy with the way they look.

Conservative Approach

We’ll see patients with half of their teeth missing. We evaluate whether the remaining teeth are good enough to keep? Are they in the correct positions so that we can do something with them? We might do partial dentures in a case like that. We're not going to be removing teeth that are strong and healthy and still look good.
